Things To Note Before Django Installation
Before installing Django on your system, you have to keep in mind that you have Python installed on your Laptop or PC. If you do not know How To Install Python on Windows, then you can go to the link and see.
Apart from this, you should also have Gitbash Terminal. Click here to Download Gitbash Terminal.
Now you have to download Visual Studio Code. You can also download by clicking on the given link.
Now Let’s Create a Project By Installing Django on Windows
1.) Firstly All Of You Manually Create A New Folder. You can give the name of the folder whatever you want.
2.) Open the folder you have created and Right click with your mouse and Left Click on Gitbash Here.
3.) Now you will have some kind of terminal open as you see in the picture below. Enter
code . command inside it and press Enter key.
4.) Now Visual Studio Code will have been opened on your system, now you go to the Terminal section above and click on New Terminal, this will start your New Terminal.
5.) Now you have to write
python --version command in VS Code Ke Terminal, this will let you know whether your Python is successfully installed or not, if it is, then which version of it is present with you.
6.) Python comes with pip by default. But many times it happens that it comes with its old version. It is always a good practice to
upgrade pip to the latest version.
Enter the command below to upgrade pip on your system.
py -m pip install --upgrade pip
7.) Now you have to create Virtual Enviromnet To create Virtual Enviroment, you have to enter python -m venv mani command and press Enter key.( In this the Enviroment name is mani, you can replace it with anything you want.)
py -m venv mani
8.) As you can see in the left side of your system that you have created a Virtual Enviroment, now activate the Enviroment you have created by entering the command given below.
We are going to tell you two types of commands, out of which you can activate Enviroment with the help of any command.
9.) Now we will install Django, to install Django we have given below command and press Enter button. As soon as you press the Enter button, you will see that Django has been installed on your system.
(mani)> pip install django
After Django is installed, if you want to see whether Django has been successfully installed or not, then you can check it with the command given below.
(mani)> django-admin --version
10.) Now you have to run your server, to run the server, we are telling you the command below, with the help of which you can start the server.
(mani)> python manage.py runserver
As soon as you enter the command with runserver, you will get this URL http://127.0.0.1:8000/ copy it and open any browser and paste it in its URL section.
And press the Enter button, as soon as you press the Enter button, the screen shown in the picture below will open on your system.
